So whatever your prophetic, philosophical, or political perspective, join us and make a Declaration of Interdependence

In the late 1990s Bono and the members of U2 agreed to perform in a Rock Concert designed to help bring peace to their gun violence-ravaged homeland, Ireland. U2 took part on the grounds that the leaders of the main parties on the political left and right would join them on stage, shake hands, and agree not to say anything – action speaks louder than words (1 John 3:18). Things did and have changed for the better in Ireland since.

The Declaration of Interdependence will happen Monday, June 19 between 6 and 8 p.m. as a part of the inaugural Music City United Festival (MCU) with its Ceasefire theme. It will feature during the finale of the on-stage activities and underscore the call to celebrate our God-given diversity.

So whether we’re full-blooded or mixed
Together we are one multi-ethnic bundle
Whatever role we choose to take
United we can make our city more than a concrete jungle
